Apply for 2024 Open Studios Tour through May 10

Artists and galleries in the following Delaware County towns are invited to participate in the 2024 Open Studios Tour this July 26-28: Arkville, Andes, Bovina, Denver, Halcottsville, Fleischmanns, Margaretville, New Kingston & Roxbury.

The Tour will continue to span three days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday was a successful addition to last year's Tour. Artists found themselves putting the final touches on their studios while still being able to host visitors, demonstrating in real time all the work that goes into opening our studios.

Before applying, please check your eligibility:

‍

You are an artist or gallery (commercial or non-profit) located in one of the nine towns listed above; or you have access to a shared studio or creative hub within one of these towns.
You own a gallery, commercial or non-profit, located in one of these nine towns.

You agree to have your studio or gallery open all three days of the tour, Friday – Sunday, 11am – 5pm each day.

Please complete the following steps, due no later than May 10, if you want to be included on the printed tour map

Step 1 - Register by filling out online application.
Step 2 - Mail your registration fee to AMR Artists Inc. PO Box 443, Roxbury, NY 12474 no later than May 15, 2024.
Step 3 - Send images to amropenstudios@gmail.com Detailed instructions below.
Step 4 - Contact your sponsor and ask them to send the following info to amropenstudios@gmail.com by May 15: Their desired sponsorship level/tier, business contact info for their listing and a logo or graphic.

If I participated in the tour last year, do I still have to fill out an application?

‍

Yes. Please complete all fields in the application. If your Artist Bio is the same, just type "no change" into the bio field of the application. If you aren't sure, check your artist listing on this website. If you would like to make changes, please type the edits into the bio field.

If I participated in the tour last year, do I still have to send in images?
‍

Yes. We ask that you send in at least three (3) new images of your work to be added to your artist listing. One (1) of those images must be in landscape ratio (horizontal format).

Non-Profit Gallery Fee is $100*

Your application fee goes to the extensive marketing campaign that includes a full-color print map, radio and television ads, social media marketing and your Gallery having its own Artist Page listed on the new AMR Open Studios Tour website. Your application fee also helps AMR to meet the requirement to match grant money received from our generous funders. Also, this fee is not to be considered a charitable donation, rather, a marketing expense.

About the Gallery

Please limit to 350 words. You can also name the artists included in a group exhibit. These artists will be listed by name on the AMR website, but not on the brochure/map. If you do not yet have a complete listing of artists participating a group exhibit, you may email these final details at a later date to Rebecca Andre at amropenstudios@gmail.com

Tour Records

The Open Studios Tour is funded mostly through grants which require end of year reporting. Each participant is required to keep a tally of visitors to their gallery during the 3 days of the tour and report the final tally at the close of the tour to Rebecca Andre at amropenstudios@gmail.com

*We recommend you take advantage of this opportunity to collect visitor emails, to expand your own email list, as well as AMR’s email list.

Road Signs

Each new gallery is allotted 4 free yard signs and is responsible for keeping track of and storing them. If you are a past participant in the tour, understand the amount of signs you currently have in your possession will be subtracted from the 4 free signs allotted. Each additional yard sign is $10/ piece.

Obtaining a sponsorship is NOT required for Gallery participants.

Sponsorships enable our non-profit organization to match the grant funds as required by granting organizations. This also promotes community involvement, partnership and cross-marketing opportunities that are mutually beneficial for artists, businesses and visitors alike.

Please go to the Sponsors Page as we now have four tiers (levels) to choose from! If you know of a business, friend or family member that would like to sponsor you, direct them to the Sponsorship Form.

I understand as a Gallery or Non-Profit Gallery I am not required to obtain a sponsorship, but am encouraged to reach out to a neighboring business to support the AMR Artists Open Studio Tour in my town if at all possible.

Agreements

By submitting this form online, I acknowledge the following:

1. I understand the 2024 Open Studios Tour is mostly a grant-funded endeavor hosted by AMR Artists. Inc, a non-profit organization, and my application feeI helps AMR Artists Inc. to match grant funds, as required by the funding organizations. This fee is not to be considered a charitable donation, rather a marketing expense.

2. I understand that I am responsible for the preparation of my own gallery. All sales and sales tax are my responsibility.

3. I agree to not hold liable AMR Artists Inc, Participating Towns or Businesses for any damage to my person or property during the 2024 Open Studios Tour or Annual Exhibition.

4. I understand as a 2024 Open Studios Tour participant, I will receive an automatic invite to the Annual Exhibition and that there may be an additional entry fee to participate in this exhibition.

5. I agree to have my gallery open to visitors all three (3) days of the tour.

6. I understand I have until May 31, 2024 to change my participation in the tour. If I cancel my participation in the tour during June or July, I understand that I will not receive a refund.
