Apply for the 2025 Open Studios Tour through April 21

Artists and galleries in the following Delaware County towns are invited to participate in the 2025 Open Studios Tour this July 25-27: Arkville, Andes, Bovina, Denver, Halcottsville, Fleischmanns, Margaretville & Roxbury.

The Tour will continue to span three days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday has been a successful addition to the Tour Weekend. Artists found themselves putting the final touches on their studios while still being able to host visitors, demonstrating in real-time all the work that goes into opening our studios.

While we are thrilled with the growth that took place in 2024, we've learned that focusing on individual artist studios and allowing visitors the time to fully experience each one is key. In 2025, we plan to fine-tune the event, making it more efficient and impactful for both the artists and the community. So this year the Open Studios Tour will be limited to 45 artists.

Before applying, please check your eligibility:

You must live or work at least part-time in one of these Delaware County towns: Andes, Arkville, Bovina, Denver-Vega, Fleischmanns, Halcottsville, Margaretville and Roxbury or own a gallery, commercial or non-profit, in one of the above towns. No exceptions can be made this year.
You agree to have your studio or gallery open all three days of the tour, Friday – Sunday, 11am – 5pm each day.
You agree to pay this year's registration fee in full by April 30, 2025. Unfortunately we can not afford to make any exceptions this year. Individual artist registration fee is $140, or 50% discounted to $70 if you partcipate in our community business sponsorship program and obtain at least one community or business sponsor. Visit our Sponsors page for more info on the sponsorship program. Commercial gallery registration fee is $165 and non-profit gallery fee is $115. (These fee contributes to the extensive marketing campaign that includes 3,000 full-color free print maps, road signs, radio ads, print and digital ads in local art publications, and social media marketing. Fees also fund the well attended Kick-Off Party, as well as the Student Display that features work of local high school students on the walls of a local business. Lastly, these fees help AMR to meet the requirement to match grant money received from our generous funders.)
This year the Creative Hub will be hosted at the Halcottsville Grange, and not the Galli Curci. If you have an accessible studio in one of the 8 towns AMR represents, we greatly encourage you to open your studio, or share with a neighbor or friend. Please note, each artist in a shared studio would still pay thier own individual artist fee.

By April 21, 2025 - Apply by filling out the online application.
By April 30, 2025 - Registration fee must be received. No credit cards can be accepted at this time. Please mail check or money order to AMR Artists Inc. PO Box 443, Roxbury, NY 12474.

By April 30, 2025 - Send images to amropenstudios@gmail.com Detailed instructions on sending images will be emailed to you after your application is approved.
By May 5, 2025 - The following info about your sponsor must be received: Sponsorship level/tier, business contact info, logo or graphic, and tagline. You or your sponsor should email this info to amropenstudios@gmail.com

If I participated in the tour last year, do I still have to fill out an application?

Yes. Please complete all fields in the application. If your Artist Bio is the same, just type "no change" into the bio field of the application. If you aren't sure, check your artist listing on this website. If you would like to make changes, please type the edits into the bio field.

If I participated in the tour last year, do I still have to send in images?
‍

Yes. You must send at least one (1) new image in landscape ratio (horizontal format) to be used as your 'hero image' on the map and website. You can also send up to three (3) new images of your work to be added to your artist listing online.

This fee contributes to the extensive marketing campaign that includes 3,000 full-color free print maps, radio ads, print and digital ads in local art publications, and social media marketing. Every AMR Artist or Gallery, since the new website’s launch in 2023, also receives an individual webpage complete with contact info, an about section and a custom designed portfolio lightbox. The page stays live and listed for a 12 month period, and even if an artist is not on the tour the following year, their webpage remains live and accessible through their direct link.

This fee is not to be considered a charitable donation, rather, a marketing expense.

*If you apply as a non-profit gallery, proof of your 501c-3 non-profit status will be required.

About the Gallery

Please limit to 350 words. You can also name the artists included in a group exhibit. These artists will be listed by name on the AMR website, but not on the brochure/map. If you do not yet have a complete listing of artists participating a group exhibit, you may email these final details at a later date to Rebecca Andre at amropenstudios@gmail.com.

Tour Records

The Open Studios Tour is funded mostly through grants which require end of year reporting. Each participant is required to keep a tally of visitors to their gallery during the 3 days of the tour and report the final tally at the close of the tour to Rebecca Andre at amropenstudios@gmail.com

*We recommend you take advantage of this opportunity to collect visitor emails, to expand your own email list, as well as AMR’s email list.

Road Signs

Each new gallery is allotted 4 free yard signs and is responsible for keeping track of and storing them. If you are a past participant in the tour, understand the amount of signs you currently have in your possession will be subtracted from the 4 free signs allotted. Each additional yard sign is $10/ piece.

Obtaining a sponsorship is not required for Gallery participants.

Sponsorships enable our non-profit organization to match the grant funds as required by granting organizations. This also promotes community involvement, partnership and cross-marketing opportunities that are mutually beneficial for artists, businesses and visitors alike.

Please go to the Sponsors Page as we now have four tiers (levels) to choose from! If you know of a business, friend or family member that would like to sponsor you, direct them to the form on the Sponsor Page.

I understand as a Gallery or Non-Profit Gallery I am not required to obtain a sponsorship, but am encouraged to reach out to a neighboring business to support the AMR Artists Open Studios Tour in my town if at all possible.

Agreements

By submitting this form online, I acknowledge the following:

1. I understand the 2025 Open Studios Tour is mostly a grant-funded endeavor hosted by AMR Artists. Inc, a non-profit organization, and my application feeI helps AMR Artists Inc. to match grant funds, as required by the funding organizations. This fee is not to be considered a charitable donation, rather a marketing expense.

2. I understand that I am responsible for the preparation of my own gallery. All sales and sales tax are my responsibility.

3. I agree to not hold liable AMR Artists Inc, Participating Towns or Businesses for any damage to my person or property during the 2025 Open Studios Tour or Annual Exhibition.

4. I agree to have my gallery open to visitors all three (3) days of the tour from 11am-5pm.

5. I understand that once payment has cleared, my gallery will not receive a refund if I cancel its participation in the 2025 Open Studios Tour.
