Richard Tazzara works in media including paint, plaster, wood acrylic, film, found objects. But his foundational medium is natural form and elemental interaction. Richard has formulated plaster, gelatin and surfactant solutions to share his ability to reflect the awe of nature and preserve the ephemeral. A formalized collaboration between Tazzara and the chaotic processes of nature. And while these works of captured ephemera indicate technical skill, it’s clearly evident in his work as a master woodworker and furniture maker, with private and commercial clients around the country.
