"Capturing the beauty of nature that surrounds me inspires me to create art. Whether it’s in the solidarity of a rock formation or in the delicacy of the flower petals that bloom in the spring for only a short period of time, there’s a magnificent canvas to experience every day. Nature has no worries, it continues to grow and blossom.

Through a variety of media and techniques I hope to encourage the viewer to look a little more closely at nature’s intricate beauty at different times of the day, changing with the seasons to experience and savor the essence and beauty in nature. Sometimes we need to escape to a creative place to help us make sense of the ever changing world around us."

Deborah majored in Art Education and graduated from the College of New Jersey in 1986. For the next 29 years she taught art to middle and high school students for Plumsted Township Board of Education. Deborah provided an enriching art experience, directing a variety of annual art events for the school and community. As a valued member of the Plumsted Council of the Arts, she coordinated art related experiences for students for the Plumsted Community After-school program, as well as adult workshops. Throughout her teaching career, she supervised student art teachers for a variety of college programs and found fostering the arts at a variety of levels to be a rewarding experience. Now retired and living in the Catskill Mountains, Deborah wishes to express her love for the arts by creating art for herself and her friends.

Deborah currently serves as the Treasurer for AMR Artists Inc., helping to coordinate the Open Studios Tour and Annual Exhibition.
